10 killed, 30 injured in Turkish traffic accident

ANKARA -- Ten people were killed and 30 others injured on Sunday in a highway accident in the southern Mersin province of Turkiye, the Ihlas News Agency reported.
An intercity passenger bus, a truck and cars were involved in a chain accident at the Yenice region of TAG Highway, Mersin provincial governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan was quoted as saying.
The bus reportedly slipped in the rainy weather, overturned, and crossed into the opposite lane, causing a chain accident involving two cars and a pickup truck. Police, gendarmerie, medical, and fire brigade teams were sent to the scene of the accident.
