Journalists impressed by China's development
Being amazed at China's rapid and huge development, journalists from Central and Eastern European countries hailed the Communist Party of China for leading Chinese people in achieving social stability and economic prosperity after they concluded a 15-day visit to China.
The trip, starting from May 16, took nearly 30 journalists from 14 CEE countries to places including Beijing and Guangdong, where the delegation explored opportunities emerging from China's growth.
"It is obvious that with the leadership of the Party, Chinese people have accomplished all these achievements. The Party has shown it has the capability to make the country stable and prosperous," said Executive Manager of Radio Television Herceg Novi in Montenegro Gligo Tomanovic after touring the memorial of the first National Congress of the CPC in Shanghai.
"I have experienced the real development that the country has accomplished. From industrial and digital companies to the media, there are a lot of things that the whole world could learn from China, especially Europe," he said.
He said the Chinese government details development plans according to capabilities of various parts of the country, which he believed was one of secrets behind China's success.
He also praised Chinese people's devotion to national policies and strategies, saying they have one mind and interest in developing their own country for a better future.
He pledged to present the true picture of China's modernization to the people of Montenegro through media channels so as to step up cooperation and communication between the two countries.
Leszek Slazyk, founder and editor-in-chief of Poland's chiny24 website, lauded the Party and the government for adopting forward-thinking and planning for the big picture.
"This is, from my point of view, why China is so successful," he said.
Having set foot in the country in 1994, Slazyk said great changes have taken place over the past three decades and he has witnessed China's huge development in fields such as economy, science and technology.
Speaking of Chinese modernization, the China observer said the concept was not something new and it manifested from the consistency of China's policies.
As early as the 1960s, the Party set the goal of achieving the Four Modernizations -industry, agriculture, national defense, and science and technology - to meet the goal of moderate prosperity, he said.
"Some details of policies and strategies may change but what remains unchanged is that the Party and the government have been adjusting tools or methods for the realization of the plans to achieve their goals," he added.
Sasa Barbulovic, an editor-in-chief of television Morning program and Belgrade Chronicles at Radio Television of Serbia, said China has "put on a new suit" under the leadership of the Party and the government.
He appreciated China for sharing its successes with the world, saying this mindset and behavior enable the country to develop faster.
