New era in China: Dalian is US investor's blue chip

"We were here when it (Dalian development zone) was starting, so we grew together with the environment, with Dalian, with the development zone, with the people," says Ladon Ghalili, an investor from the United States. Having stayed in Dalian for about 35 years, Ghalili and her husband have witnessed Dalian's transformation from a small, simple city to a busy metropolis.

Ghalili is currently the chairperson of AmCham China Northeast Chapter. She likes bringing people together from different cultures, from different walks of life, to learn to be one community, because "we're really all part of the same family", she says.
