New era in China: German designer looks forward to the Year of the Rabbit

Barbara Freiman, a German designer based in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province, is looking forward to celebrating the Year of the Rabbit in China.

"We really like rabbits, and we are looking forward to seeing all the artwork," she says, adding that it's really interesting to see how important those zodiacs are for Chinese life.

As a designer, Barbara says she will make some decorations with her family, such as lanterns and handicrafts, for the Lantern Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar.
