New era in China: Spanish basketball coach takes Chengdu as second Spain

Pedro Diaz from Spain works in a basketball training center in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan province. The sport of basketball in China has seen great development over the years, in terms of coaches, facilities or mentality, according to Diaz.

In his spare time, Diaz likes to walk around in the center of Chengdu. "Chengdu people enjoy life, in one sense they are very similar to Spanish people," he said, "and for this kind of lifestyle, Chengdu is really convenient."
